Lots of tenants join in with instruments, with some even getting up for a boogie.
🌞 It was Wellbeing Wednesday at one of our independent living schemes, Windsor Court, so our Engagement team popped along to the event where residents could find out more about local services, how to access health checks and activities they could get involved in. They were joined by Lancashire Fire & Rescue Service, Age Concern Central Lancs, Rays of Sunlight, Bees County Kitchen and Farleys Solicitors. Plus, the sun even shone!
👔 Friday saw the third and final of our very successful School Uniform Store sessions, this time in the heart of one of our communities. Almost 50 families came to take advantage of the wide selection of uniform items on offer ahead of the new term.

🎢 Our Community Fund supported Fishwick Rangers to hold a family fun day last weekend, which was a huge success, attended by lots of local families.
🌳 Over 130 people came along to LCC’s Children & Family Wellbeing Service’s fun day at The Hub on Grange Park on Wednesday and it was lovely to chat to tenants and their children who were enjoying the activities on offer, including crafts, football and cricket, a nature trail and more.
👔 Larches and Savick Community Association held their School Uniform Bank at Oaktree Court, one of our independent living schemes, so the team went along to chat to families who were making the most of what was on offer. Then it was time to call in at the second of Beanstalk’s Cook, Eat, Repeat workshops, where families were getting hands-on making delicious dishes from budget-friendly ingredients. These sessions are fully booked now, but there is a waiting list if you’re interested in a slot.
📰 Engagement Officer Lisa Taylor rounded off the week with a walkabout in the Hawkins and Ashmoor Street areas, talking to tenants about involvement opportunities and listening to their views.

Thanks to our friends at Let's Grow Preston for helping run the event.👔 We held our first two School Uniform Store sessions. 58 families with 131 children dropped in and benefited from 484 items of free school uniform. It was lovely to be able to support so many people.🙋♀️ Our Scrutiny Group met to continue their review into our Damp, Mould and Condensation processes. We also had another group of involved tenants who came along to our first ‘Tenant Talk’ meeting, to help us shape the content of our upcoming newsletter, select the design of our new-style factsheets and decide what content we need to include, plus much more. It was a very productive evening, with lots of really useful discussions which will help us improve the way we do things.🥗 Beanstalk Food and Cookery held the first of five Cook, Eat, Repeat workshops, helping families get hands-on to create tasty meals together from budget-friendly ingredients. The sessions have been funded by our Community Fund, so Community Engagement & Support Officer Lisa popped in to chat to tenants taking part and join in the fun!
