💰 Our Community Fund Panel met this week, awarding over £8500 in funding to local community projects that benefit our tenants and communities. Applications included an air fryer cooking course, youth activities and social events that aim to reduce isolation for older people.
❄️ This week our Engagement team were really pleased to be able to get together with partners across Preston at Preston Community Hub for National Energy Action's 'Prepare for Winter' event. It was great to have the chance to chat to tenants and local residents who were getting lots of support and advice about staying warm and well in the colder weather.
🧶 Earlier in the week Sharon and Lisa were accompanied by colleague Amanda from our Tenancy Management Team to carry out a community pop-up in Ingol, sharing volunteering opportunities with tenants. They also dropped in to visit the Knitting Group at Ingol Library, who were delighted to receive a donation of yarn!
🍕 Engagement Officer Eddie rounded off the week joining in the monthly litter-pick at the Hub in Grange Park with The Friends of Grange Park and Brockholes Wood, which was followed by pizza made by Let's Grow Preston and their volunteers.
